This is the end

This is a farewell post of this blog. :-(
It's been increasingly difficult to keep up posting on my two blogs and due to lack of time I'm giving up this one.

You can still have a look at my photographic blog and keep up with my projects on there.
Thanks to all of you who kept checking in and left messages.
It's been fun, but sadly this is the end.

Hugs, Wendy

Painting

I'm so busy, that I'm totally neglecting this blog.
Sorry for that.

At the moment I'm painting my bedroom, so the hands are full of paint again, my head full of ideas.
Not ready to show the result yet, since it's totally not finished yet.
But once the room is finished, I'll post some pictures on here.

For now, I'm leaving you with two postcards that I found and love.
Makes me think of the tradition of sending cards with x-mas, birthdays and holidays.
Nowadays people will use the internet and do it virtually, but I still love and cherish the hand written onces.

It's been a while

© Wendy Marijnissen

It's been a while, since I wrote on this blog.
It's been too crazy and too hectic and somehow I didn't find the time and energy to post on here.

The new year has started with the biggest challenge and adventure of my life, with going full time for my photography carreer.
It's a big step, in these uncertain times, but it just feels like the right one and the only one I can take.
Lots of plans and lots of things I want to work on. And of course, now the focus will be on trying to get some assignments.

Besides all this, I want to continue decorating my appartment and finally finish painting my bedroom. After months, I still haven't decided what colour the walls should be.
Here's some photographs, that are inspiring me right now, so maby this will get me closer to finding out.

And just one more link to a fab blog I came across recently. Garance Doré tells us all about French chique. A little treasure trove of fashionable inspiration.
Enjoy!

The first

With no time at all, I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get all my Christmas cards written and sent out in time.
It got me to thinking as well about the first known Christmas card ever and I found out that we have Henry Cole to thank for this.
With his lack of time for writing letters to all his friends and family for the holidays, he had a card made with the seasonal message. To save time and effort.

Here's the original one (in the V&A collection)

And here's a coloured version of the same card. Enjoy!
